GIVING UP MAKEUP?

Have you ever thought about not wearing makeup at all? Nah neither have I however I have thought about how much good it would do my skin if I had a few “days off”. So that’s exactly what I have decided to do, I am going 40 working days makeup free.

Rollers in & makeup free!

A few days ago we were having a conversation in the office digging around for answers on if people were making any sacrifices during lent. The usual suspect answers came up chocolate, takeaways mostly related to weight loss. Now seeing as I am already on a body cleanse mission to drop the pounds someone suggested giving up the slap at work. This was the perfect idea for me for so many reasons.

  • Saving money due to less product use from both makeup and makeup removal
  • Improved skin condition
  • This is a niche one as I have a habit of picking my eyelashes at my desk – eyelash regrowth
  • Longer in bed in the morning
  • Less removal needed at night

Now of course wearing make up is not going to give us some kind of deadly illness unless you are really unfortunate and have an allergy etc. But we all know the importance of a good skincare regime and surely 5 days of week of skin that can breathe will benefit it more than enough. Working in an office I have very little fresh air reach my skin all day and when it does it hits the barrier of products on my face. The only problem in this plan of course is – does anyone really like going to work makeup free? In my case we will have to wait & see. I will update you on any changes to my skin after the 40 days. Maybe with a little before and after snap, is this something you would consider doing? Or do you already go slap free in the day? Let me know I’m curious as to what difference it has made to you!

Or are you giving anything up that’s entirely different this lent? Let me know in the comments below!

Good Luck & Love,

B x
